My new favourite stamp set . . .

is Upsy Daisy. Probably because I only just got it. Some people think that it isn't very versatile. I'm determined to prove them wrong because I LOVE it so much, so I'm going to see what completely different projects I can create with it for my next 3 posts.

These upsy daisy cards were made from the idea in Stampin' Up catalogue. I just made a folder so I could give away a set with envelopes. Now I must go as I have some experimenting to do with my favourite stamp set.

November is here!!

Yeeks! (52 days till Christmas by the way, we are counting it down in Room 19 at Royal Road School).

AND . . . a new promotion is here!!! Check it out . . . FREE scallop square punch. Woohoo!

I have had my eye on the curly labels and recipe stamps for a while so think I might be partaking in the special myself. Thankyou very much Stampin' Up :) Looking forward to having a square scalloped punch. Mmmm . . .

Just got back from watching Julie and Julia (the movie about a woman Julie cooking her way through Julia Childs French cooking book in 365 days and blogging about it). So it is with delight that I accept Jacque's challenge to blog 21 days this month! Yay! Good movie by the way for all of you Meryl Streep fans.

Wedding favour box

I made the wedding favour match boxes for a work mate of my Mums. There were 35 of them in total!! Took a bit of time.

I put the paper through a Cuttlebug which gave it a classier look. Unfortunately I couldn't match the wedding colours with Stampin' Up paper as she was wearing a malachite greeny turquoisey colour.

Anyways, I was quite pleased with the results.

What do ya reckon?!!

Christmas Card Class

Well, been a while since I posted. I have been creating of course, I just haven't had time to record it!
Here are some Christmas cards I put together for a class of mine.

I wanted to challenge myself by doing some with colours you wouldn't traditionally expect. This black and white one ended up looking quite classy.

For this one I tried using pink and green instead of red and green.

For these two I cased the main idea from Marelle Taylor's blog thINKspot, I just changed it up a little.

I just love Christmas!

Jaque's September Challenge

Thought I'd try my hand at Jaque's September challenge and give scrap booking a go. Isn't it amazing that such a simple layout took me so long to do! I obviously have lots more practising to do with scrap booking. It was tricky to find stamp images that would work with the busy geometric designer paper.

I eventually gave up trying to do more on the page and left it simple . ..

The ribbon tag pulls out to read the journalling spot.

Used Urban Oasis designer paper,

Baroque Motif and Great Friend stamp sets,

So Saffron and Whisper White craft inkpad,

chalks on top of the craft ink and

So Saffron ribbon

Penguin Spinner Card

Had to make a birthday card for a 1 year old boy this morning and wanted to have a go at a spinner card. The penguin spins round and round as it moves down the slot.

Used the WILD ABOUT YOU Stampin' Up set which I LOVE for kids! Used Rose Red, Going Gray and Basic Gray as my colour. Not sure about the white ribbon up the side . . . maybe it will grow on me!

I think this works well as boy colours though. I didn't get to see the mum open the present so will have to wait to see what she thought of the card.

Great Friends Matchbox

This is a very cute matchbox shared with me by my upline Heather Stewart. Isn't it pretty!

The one that she did looked like the one on page 5 of the spring mini catalogue except she used the butterly instead of a summer love rub-on.
I changed the hole in the box by using circle punches instead of curly punches. Also added glitter to the butterfly to make it shine!
Was pretty easy to put together.
